A Day In the Life: Fetching Finds

A few weeks ago I gave you a sneak peek into the photos my good friend David from David Anthony Photography took of my pieces. I finally have all the photos! Are you ready to see them? I know you are.

I just adore this little side table. I love all the lines and curves. I love the handles on the drawer. But, I especially love the color of this piece. I always use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and my favorite color in her collection is Duck Egg Blue. I have quite a few things for sale in the booth in that color.

This piece has to be my favorite. I’ve gotten so many compliments on this piece along with a ton of people begging me to go ahead and sell it. But, I have to wait until the booth opens. I have a feeling it’ll be a goner in no time.

This yellow side table was picked up for my by a friend of mine, Tyler Lynch. Tyler has a booth at the Marietta Queen of Hearts. His style and taste is one of a kind and I am thankful he found this piece for me. Ain’t it just darling?

Don’t you just love this red dresser? I think it would look great in any bedroom.  Again, I love Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and I think the Emperor’s Silk is my second favorite color.

I even painted a small nightstand to match the red dresser. I think they make a great match.

Well, that’s all, y’all! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do. Come visit Fetching Finds at the Queen of Hearts Antiques and Interiors in Alpharetta, GA. And, if you haven’t already, follow Fetching Finds on Twitter {@fetchingfinds} and like us on Facebook {www.facebook.com/fetchingfinds}

Thanks for stopping by!

“New”- The Word of the Day

That’s right, kids! “New” is the word of the day! I’ve gotten so much new stuff. I even got a new sign. Wanna see it?

ImageAin’t it cute? I think so.

I also got a new dry sink. It’s a pretty cool piece that I am painting white. I am finishing it today and it will be on the blog and for sale by the end of this weekend. I got some new Annie Sloan Chalk Paint today, along with a new wax brush and small round brush. I just love Annie Sloan. I’m sure you can tell. Everything I have for sale is painted with it. It’s just so easy to use and it dries quick. You don’t even have to sand or prime anything! The Bird and Bee here in Smyrna sells the whole collection of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I think you’ll love it. My favorite color is Duck Egg Blue. I’ve painted quite a few things in my house with that color.

Well, I hope you like my new sign and the new inventory. Remember to check the Facebook page to see what else is new!

Kitsch! Kitsch! Kitsch!

So I went to the flea market again today. I know, I know…it’s an addiction. But, this time I brought along a friend. Tristan is the owner of Upcycled Downriver and she is super talented! She definitely has a great eye for the kitsch and fabulous! Check out her website here: http://www.upcycleddownriver.com/ You will LOVE it!

I went to the flea market with the intention of getting a buffet or hoosier cabinet. I found a few, but they were a little out of my price range. So I nabbed this instead….Image

This super cute 5 drawer dresser was sitting there, waiting to be taken home by me, of course. I found it at Goodwill. You can find some great stuff at Goodwill. I probably would have paid $150 at the flea market for this, but I paid $20 for it at Goodwill. I originally was going to paint it, but I changed my mind. I think it looks great just the way it is.

I decided I was going to redecorate a little bit and this is what I ended up withImage

ImageI bought this chair at the flea market and I love it!

ImageHere’s the detail of what I put on top of my new dresser. Oh yeah, and that’s me!

ImageI relocated the buffet I painted. I love all the decorations on top of it. I bought that milk jar today!

ImageI have an open pantry and these are a few of the decorations on the top shelf.

Now onto my funky junk wall! I am obsessed!!!

ImageAnd here is my wicker bench. I put the burlap pillow that my friend Vanessa made on it along with this super cool lantern!

The more I put in my house, the more I love it.
